The Indian edition of Vogue magazines turned 10 this year and to mark this milestone, a unique collection was showcased. Vogue chose to empower the Indian fashion industry by highlighting and celebrating the very graceful saree. Saree is something you will find in the closet of every fashion lover. It was the first time that this kind of a collection was showcased at AIFW. The show headspeared with Monica Dogra singing in a gorgeous white saree. A mix of silhouettes, different drapes and fabrics was seen in the collection.

The aim of the show was to promote saree in different and creative forms. 50 designers exhibited different ways of draping the saree. The designers reintroduced saree to highlight its elegance yet again. Some of the most renowned names of the industry like Manish Malhotra, J J Vallaya, Manish Arora, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani and many others were a part of this distinctive concept.

Each saree had a character of its own and was worthy of inspiring any saree lover to up the drape game. In all it was a celebration of tradition with a twist.
