I’ve talked about the SS’14 trends and some of the must have colors for the season. We’ve done white and orchid before. For OOTD, I decided to try another SS’14 color-Orange.

There’s an amazing exhibition going on in Ahmedabad called the “Weekend Window”. It started yesterday and is on till tomorrow. I and my lovely friend Payal decided to raid it the first day itself lest all good stuff gets sold out!

The only mistake! We dropped in at 4.30 PM which is the worst time in Ahmedabad to be outdoors and I am not exaggerating when I say we almost died of sun exposure yesterday! But, then, there’s no fun without a little challenge, is there? 😛

We may be smiling for the pics (there’s no other way we pose :p) but we are completely sweat-soaked, dehydrated and dead inside! The pics have been taken from Payal’s android and are purely selfie quality.

While zeroing on the outfit, I needed to consider two things-bright color and flowy material. The only thing that came close was this tunic from AND  and the temperatures being what they are…wearing it with tights was out of question. Wearing it as is looked a little weird (it falls like a kurta so the outfit looked incomplete) and on a regular day I would have “broken rules” but today I just decided to “punk” it up a bit. So, out came the oversized belt….I am not sure how the look turned out. What do you think?

With the belt being the attention grabber, I didn’t want any accessories to go with the look so I left for the exhibition sans jewelry with my bottle green bag from Calvin Klein. I’ve used this bag here before.

While looking for some fun jewelry knick-knacks, I stumbled upon this gorgeous wooden neckpiece by Alto Vida which….well it speaks for itself. I can’t wait to accessorize it with some other looks! I’ll keep posting them here.
