Amdavadi’s wait eagerly for exhibitions and designer displays more so before Garba season. Speaking from experience- the whole lot of us have become more fashion conscious than ever (all the year round and not just during Navratris). Couture, budding designers, high street brands, we seem to know our fashion really well now.
As much as you love designer wear, searching for the right stuff may drive you nuts. That’s why Black Taxi’s event “Fashion & Works” has me all worked up and excited.
For those of you who know about Black Taxi lets say a collective yayyy! For those who don’t, (first can you come out from under the rock now! 🙂 I kid you!). Black Taxi is a platform for shoppers like us to meet hand-picked and supremely talented designers that cater to our needs of fashion and lifestyle.
Their events in Mumbai are hugely popular and very well received. I personally love them for their motto of not believing in anything ‘run of the mill’, which is precisely why they launch at least 5 new labels fresh out of the design school, every season. They’ve worked with more than 400 designers and labels so far!
The founders of Black Taxi, Parul (quit her senior position in an MNC) and Radhika (a Parsons, New York and London College of Fashion Alumni) are highly ambitious fashion enthusiasts, keen on encouraging home grown and boutique labels. They aim to provide an opportunity for designers to showcase their talents and help them reach out to people who admire creativity. Their passion for fashion and styling is exactly what makes running Black Taxi more fun than work for them.
Black Taxi’s Fashion & Works is coming to Ahmedabad on 21st and 22nd of August 2015 from 11 A.M to 7 P.M at Courtyard by Marriott.
I have marked my calendar and saved the date. How about you?
Stay tuned for our picks of must visit designers and merchandise on CB.
We are super stoked to be their official Blog & App partner (Psst: we are launching our mobile app soon!) and will be present at the event. Come say hi!
Stay Gorgeous xx
