Anushree Reddy’s collection “Sitara” was inspired by the Nizami wardrobe. The occasion wear spoke of elaborate techniques, decadent drapes, and feminine colors. It was a depiction of 3D fleur, leaves, and butterflies on saris, salwars and lehengas.

Stunning Malaika Arora was the showstopper for the designer who walked the ramp in a lemon embellished lehenga choli and simply stunned the show.

SVA By Sonam And Paras Modi

SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi was deep and intriguing. The designer duo called the collection by the name of “Merlot” and displayed occasion wear.

The color palette for the show was burgundy and maroon paired with black and beige. They showed a lot of embellished jackets, contemporary cuts, peplum blouses, embroidered kurtas, etc.

But what really took our breath away was the scintillating mix of metals and elegant ombre fabrics.

Payal Singhal

Payal Singhal’s collection was based on the age-old handcrafting technique which grew throw the period of renaissance throughout the European countries having a touch of Persian artistry.

The festive wear had thread work of zardosi, beadwork and applique. She picked up the color palette in neutral tones of ivory, grey, and pastels like mint, cantaloupe, rose blush, powdered blue, etc.

The surprising elements of the show were the showstoppers, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi. The soon to be parents walked the ramp hand in hand in matching floral outfits.

Soumodeep Dutta

Dutta’s inspiration was the Buddhist philosophy relating to lotus. It was an amalgamation of contrasting elements. Flower’s roots lie in the muddy water and it rises above slush for blooming.

This represents a sense of enlightenment and purity. It was a mix of greys, blacks, whites, and reds. She showed dhoti pants, capes, cholis, short jackets, etc.

Monisha Jaising

Monisha Jaising made the whole grand finale thing a grand affair. The event kick-started with the popular Canadian entertainment company’s LIVE performance.

The event was important also because it saw the launch of Kareena Kapoor Khan’s makeup line “Kareena Kapoor Khan by Lakme Absolute”.

The show displayed a lot of cocktail dresses and shimmering gowns in solid hues. The show ended with Kareena Kapoor Khan walking the ramp in a sparkling pleated gown.
