Amit Aggarwal’s “Crystalis” comprised of hand woven 3D embroideries in crystalline and motifs which gave an appealing visual effect and tactile quality to the designs. It looked futuristic and the embellishments made the collection look quite interesting.
Shilpa Shetty was the show stopper for the designer who looked ravishing in a plum hued metallic saree which was embossed with crystal embellishments.
Pallavi Jaikishan
Pallavi Jaikishan showed a lot of sarees, shararas, anarkalis and lehengas. All these outfits were flowy and comfy so that you can enjoy a wedding ceremony, a sangeet ceremony, etc.
The very elegant and eclectic collection made the audience feel nostalgic. The contemporary twist to the traditional looks was intelligent and looked wonderful.
She used a lot of silk, georgette, chiffon, organza and metallic. In all, it was a perfect dosage of glitz for the wedding season.
Falguni Shane Peacock
Falguni Shane Peacock’s collection at India Couture Week 2018 gave us a lot of snug silhouettes, plunging necklines, backlines, sheer fabrics and surprising cut out bodices. We got to see some extremely unusual bridal trends at the show.
The collection can be best described as edgy and sexy. The duo chose Kareena Kapoor Khan as the showstopper for the event. She sparkled in a bold glitzy lehenga which flaunted her figure perfectly well.
The sexy wedding sarees and lehengas were all that any bride to be would love to don. The collection focussed mainly on flattering the body shape of the bride for enhancing her style.
Rahul Mishra
Rahul Mishra’s collection was a tribute to the Mughal architecture. The runway for the show was set amidst the green garden and his collection looked truly inspired by Mother Nature.
With his classic intricately breezy designs, it was a delight for the audience to see how the relationship between humans and nature comes alive.
The extremely colorful collection which he called “Maraasim” was the perfect mix of the modern day tradition. He showed a lot of anarkalis, sarees, long jackets and capes.
So in short, this season of India Couture Week was perfect for all the brides to be.
