Check out Part-1 here.
So, a lot of friends and readers have been writing in and telling me they like my candid posts. There are also a handful who tell me I talk too much. When I started writing the blog I knew I will receive accolades and flak and I should learn to take both in my stride. Now, almost 2 years later, I am so Zen about it, it’s not funny.
I don’t care what anyone thinks, says or believes about me. I absolutely don’t mind them speaking behind my back but criticism on my face is welcome too. Sometimes I brush it off instantly, sometimes I turn a deaf ear and most of the times I laugh- right then and there- on their sorry faces. And very few times I write about it here- on the blog. This has become a passive aggressive way to vent, and how!
My mantra to a happy life is “DON’T LISTEN”. The amount of unsolicited advice I get on how to live my life, how to bring up my child, how to keep my husband happy (oh yes that too!) and other such, is enough to drive me nuts but I cope….I cope by getting my virtual ear plugs in and my inner zen on. Try it, it works!
Last week I received this gorgeous floral skirt from W. It seemed to give off a boho vibe, and I thought-why not! I’ve styled it with a plain black tank and some extremely pretty jewelry from Urban Turban. I particularly love the tiara- makes me feel like a princess 🙂
Don’t forget to check out the Spring Summer Collection at W online. You can also visit the nearest store. There is definitely a piece for you. Visit them on Facebook and Twitter.
How do you deal with criticism and unsolicited advice? Do write and share your experiences. Also, let me know if you liked the outfit and styling.
Stay Gorgeous xx
