Hello Everyone!
Apologies for the late post this week. I was travelling with very limited connectivity. This year is off to a good start with several travels lined up already! Can’t wait to share my travel stories here.
A couple of weeks ago I was invited by the Blogadda peeps to talk about “My journey as a fashion blogger”.
I was amused to say the least. Not because I didn’t have a roller coaster ride. I did- my God what a ride it has been! But because I still can’t believe I did it.
I started CB after I turned 30- completely on a whim- and I am so happy I had the courage to take the plunge. That said, it takes a lot of discipline. If there is one advice I give to bloggers around me it is to be disciplined and consistent. Do not stop writing because you’re not getting enough reads or comments or likes. Write because you’ve made a commitment to yourself and your readers. It is your journey- if you get disheartened and slow down, you won’t get very far.
I see a lot of people starting out with a bang but then their excitement fizzles out as they go along. No one gets success in the first go. The key is to keep producing content whether there are takers or not in the beginning. Also, I understand that “survival of the fittest” may rule in the end- you can still always carve out a niche for yourself and find your own space in the blogging world.
So brickbats or accolades, I keep coming back to all of you with my outfit posts, random musings and ghost posts because I love what I do and it’s enough to keep me going 🙂
Here’s what I wore to the event. If you know me, you know how I love colours. Check it out here, here and here.
Psst: I am wearing a very very old top from All Saints that I had forgotten about completely. This is atleast 7 years old and has survived 3 comebacks!
