Fashion Rule #221- Prints on prints or prints on stripes is a big no no!
I hate it when anything (especially fashion) has rules. Why should it? After all isn’t fashion just an interpretation of one’s sense of style? The second part of my “Breaking Fashion Rules” Series makes another attempt at breaking the myths around the widely accepted “norms” of fashion and style. (read the first part here)
The first outfit is animal print separates. To let the focus be on the outfit, I’ve not broken it down with a long neck piece. Gold ear-rings and a gold cuff have been used to accessorize but not steal the attention from the ensemble. The pink pumps add a little zing to the otherwise monotonous outfit without taking anything away from the spirit. I’ve used these pumps before here.
The second outfit is a blue “feather print” top with multi-color striped skirt. Again, this is an attempt towards breaking the myths around not using too many structures and colors in one outfit. I’ve styled the outfit with a metallic collar and a white & silver cuff to keep them as neutral as possible. The pumps are my favorite here. The nude shade matches my exact skin tone and adds length to my legs.
Do write in to me with your feedback. Brickbats and accolades both are welcome 🙂
Stay Gorgeous xx
